downgradedforspringUbolts,tiebolts,longcapscrews,double
depthnuts,badlyrustedconditionsandspringfastenersasthey
absorbmuchoftheimpactpower.Whenpossible,clamporwedge
thebolttopreventspringback.
NOTE:Actualtorqueonafastenerisdirectlyrelatedtojoint
hardness,toolspeed,conditionofsocketandthetimethetoolis
allowedtoimpact.
Usethesimplestpossibletool-to-sockethookup.Everyconnection
absorbsenergyandreducespower.
NOTE:Soakrustednutsinpenetratingoilandbreakrustseal
beforeremovingwithimpactwrench.Ifnutdoesnotstarttomove
inthreetofivesecondsusealargersizeimpactwrench.Donot
useimpactwrenchbeyondratedcapacityasthiswilldrastically
reducetoollife.
Air Supply...
Tools of this class operate on a wide range of air pressures. It is
recommendedthatairpressureofthesetoolsmeasures90PSIatthe
toolwhilerunningfree.Higherpressure(over90psig;6.2bar)raises
performancebeyondtheratedcapacityandwillshortentool'slife.
Alwaysuseclean,dryair.Dust,corrosivefumesand/orwaterintheair
linewillcausedamagetothetool.Draintheairtankdaily.Cleanthe
airinletfilterscreenonatleastaweeklyschedule.Therecommended
hookupprocedurecanbeviewedinfigure1.
Lubrication...
Lubricatetheairmotordailywithqualityairtooloil.Ifnoairlineoiler
isused,run1/2ounceofairtooloilthroughthetoolbysquirtingoil
intothe tool'sairinletorintothenearestconnection totheairinlet,
reconnectingairsupply,andthenrunningtool.Donotusemorethan
1/2ounceofoil,asoverfillingwillreducetheperformanceofthetool.
Troubleshooting...
Otherfactorsoutsidethetoolmaycauselossofpowerorerraticaction.
Reducedcompressoroutput,excessivedrainontheairline,moistureor
restrictionsinairpipesortheuseofhoseconnectionsofimpropersize
orpoorconditionsmayreduceairsupply.Gritorgumdepositsinthe
toolmaycutpowerandmaybecorrectedbycleaningtheairstrainer
andflushingoutthetoolwithgumsolventoiloranequalmixtureof
SAE#10andkerosene.Ifoutsideconditionsareinorder,disconnecttool
fromhoseandtaketooltoyournearestauthorizedservicecenter.
